JUST IN: Denmark PM Frederiksen RESIGNS After Poor Showing in Election

Frederiksen will now try to negotiate a third term after the difficult coalition talks ahead.
Former Danish Prime Minister lived in a Euro-Globalist bubble where she was endlessly complimented for her relentless warmongering in Ukraine, and also for her pushback against Donald J. Trump’s ambitions for Greenland.
So, she felt it was a good idea to bring forward the October election to March, to try to ride what she believed were good popularity numbers.

But the Danish voters begged to differ, pressured by a cost-of-living crisis that Frederiksen paid little attention to.
So, she led her party to the poorest electoral showing since the early 20th century, not achieving a majority, with right-wing vote growing considerably.
So, while the tough coalition talks get underway, Frederiksen only had one path: resign, after a meeting with the King.

The Guardian reported:
“And we are just getting a word from the Danish Royal Palace that following last night’s results, Mette Frederiksen has handed in her resignation from the post during her meeting with King Frederik.
Now, this sounds a bit dramatic, but is not really: it is pretty customary as it sets in motion the new government formation process, particularly as the outgoing three-party government clearly does not have a majority required to continue in office (with 70 seats, well short of 90 required for a majority).”
Frederiksen will remain as a caretaker PM until a new administration is formed. And she is still considered one of the favorites to get the job.
