WAYNE ROOT: Democrats Think Midterms are in the Bag. Not So Fast. If These Four Very Doable Things Happen, Trump & GOP Will Crush Dems in Midterms

For 11 years now (from 2015 to 2026), I’ve reported- again and again- how Democrats always think they have President Trump exactly where they want him. And like Houdini, Trump pulls off a miracle and escapes every time.

Trump is Roadrunner and Democrats are Wylie E Coyote. Guess who always wins?

Even when Democrats finally won for the first time- by beating Trump in 2020- or should I say “rigging and stealing the 2020 election from Trump”- they actually lost.

Democrats would have been much better off if Trump won in 2020. He’d already be gone. The border would be open right now, with millions pouring in, and the GOP would be looking at a bleak future- with zero chance of ever winning again.

Instead, by beating Trump with the rigged and stolen 2020 election, they gave Trump a fresh start in 2024- and the added benefit of four years in the wilderness to come up with a winning gameplan, and to pick the right team around him.

And if things go as I expect them to go down in Florida, a grand jury will soon indict many of the leading Democrats in America (including Obama) for a decade-long criminal conspiracy to steal the 2016 and 2020 elections; to frame Trump in his first term with a fake Russia Collusion scam; persecute Trump with fake indictments and convictions; and defraud the American people.

So, even when Democrats win, and Trump loses…Trump still wins!

But I digress. The topic here is the 2026 midterms. History says Democrats will win- it’s almost automatic. And between the issues of inflation, jobs, “affordability,” overzealous ICE raids, and the Iran war, fake polls have Democrats convinced they have the 2026 midterms in the bag.

Hold your horses. Not so fast. Don’t count those chickens just yet.

First, Trump pulls rabbits out of a hat all the time. Remember when he said he didn’t like prisoners of war like John McCain. Trump said he liked the soldiers who don’t get caught. Remember that one? Everyone wrote him off. Career-ender, right? Nope.

Remember the videotape of Trump saying he likes to grab women by the you-know-what? Everyone wrote him off. Career-ender, right? Nope.

Remember the lady who sued Trump and won $80 million because she claimed Trump raped her 40+ years ago in a department store…and when Trump called her a liar…and she won a $80 million libel suit. Career-ender, right? Nope.

Remember the criminal conviction in NY State? And the civil conviction in NY State? And the $500 million fine. Career-enders, right? Nope.

So, Democrats writing Trump off for the midterms is pretty foolish and short-sighted.

I’d call it “premature prognostication.”

Here are 4 reasons Democrats may have it all wrong…

1. Everyone is forgetting Democrats can’t win elections (outside of deep blue big cities) without rigging, cheating and scamming. They can only win if there’s no Photo ID required, no proof of citizenship required, illegal aliens voting galore, and everyone voting by mail.

If the GOP Senate passes the SAVE Act, everything changes. 

Then on Election Day there will be Photo Voter ID; proof of citizenship will be required; and no mail-in ballots will be dramatically limited. Democrats will have a hard time winning under these circumstances.

2. Perhaps just as important is a Supreme Court ruling expected in June which says “no more counting of ballots” after Election Day.

If Democrats can’t count fake mail-in ballots for several days to a week after the election is over, they can’t win.

Exhibit A is my home state of Nevada. In both of the two most recent US Senate races in Nevada, our GOP Senate candidates won on Election Night, but lost a week later after thousands of mail-in ballots were counted for days after the election was over. The strategy is simple…

Once Democrats see the GOP lead on Election Night, they know exactly how many ballots they need to overcome the lead, then they take 5 to 7 days to methodically keep counting fake ballots until they win. The scam is that simple. If the Supremes rule correctly, the jig is up!

 

3. Then we come to the economy.

I’ve never been wrong on a Trump prediction yet in my 11 years on TV and radio. As I’ve predicted for many months now, Trump has timed the economy perfectly. His economy will explode by late summer. By Election Day in November our economy will be firing on all cylinders- helped by the biggest tax refunds in history coming next month; the extension of the Trump tax cuts; and $18 trillion dollars invested into the US economy by foreign countries. I expect 5% or higher GDP by Fall.

If Trump can throw in a $2000 “TARIFF BONUS” to every taxpayer, to arrive by September, he wins the day. Trump and the GOP win the midterms in a massive upset.

 

Because in the end, as James Carville once said, “It’s the economy, stupid.”

 

4. Finally, we come to the Iran war. Like Trump, I’m anti-war whenever possible. War is bad for business. War is bad for taxes, spending, inflation and debt. War costs lives. But the lesson learned should not be “never fight a war.” The lesson should be: Get in, bomb them to hell, and get out quickly. Trump understands this better than anyone.

I expect the Iran war to end soon. Trump will bomb some more. Trump will kill a new set of replacement Mullahs. Trump will kill a new set of replacement Iranian Generals. Then he will declare victory and leave.

By late Spring or early summer, we will be out of Iran. Count on it. And I expect we will be taking a ton of oil with us- to pay us for our troubles.

Trump will be the conquering hero. By Fall the war in Iran will be a distant memory. You think I’m wrong? Wanna bet on it?

If those four things happen- and all four are realistic and very doable- Pass the SAVE Act…get a favorable Supreme Court ruling that bans counting of ballots after Election Day…make the economy boom…and get the hell out of Iran soon…

Dems will be shocked at how the worm has turned. Things that looked like “a sure thing,” won’t look so sure by Election Day. Instead of crushing in the midterms, Democrats will be crushed.

And Roadrunner will escape Wiley E. Coyote once again.
