German Order Restored: AfD politician Forces Antifa Mob to Clean Up After Attack — ‘First You Lick the German Flag Clean Again’

Left-wing violence has become a grim fact of life in Germany. Just yesterday, a suspected extremist attack on rail infrastructure brought Berlin’s southern railway line to a standstill.
Against this backdrop, a case from last year is now drawing renewed attention. The incident took place last year at the property of Philip Steinbeck, an AfD politician, who later published video footage of the confrontation on X.
The events unfolded at Steinbeck’s clubhouse in Lübtheen, in northern Germany. According to Steinbeck, around 20 Antifa activists descended on the property, tore down the German flag from his front garden and attempted to intimidate those inside.
Instead of retreating, Steinbeck says he confronted the group and chased them off the premises. What followed stunned viewers: Steinbeck is seen forcing the attackers to clean the German flag they had vandalised, telling them, “First you lick the German flag clean again.” Moments later, the group fled.
When sharing the video on X, Steinbeck directly addressed platform owner Elon Musk, urging him to take note of what he described as politically motivated violence — and the way it is portrayed by German media.
Alongside the footage, Steinbeck wrote:
“German state media framed me as a bully.
THE TRUTH: I caught vandals desecrating the national flag on my property.
In the US, defending the flag makes you a patriot. In Germany, they try to cancel you.”
Germany’s public broadcaster NDR reacted with outrage — but not over the alleged attack itself. Coverage focused instead on the treatment of the Antifa activists, while the claim that a mob of around 20 people targeted a political opponent at his own property was largely sidelined.
NDR also reported that the teenagers involved had filed a criminal complaint against Steinbeck. The AfD politician disputes this, stating that the youths explicitly told him they had no intention of pressing charges.
The incident is further fuelled by NDR’s cooperation with the controversial propaganda network OCCRP, which has been linked to funding from USAID — a connection frequently criticised by conservative commentators for election manipulation.
For Steinbeck and his supporters, the case encapsulates what they see as a wider problem in Germany: far-left violence being minimised or ignored, while any robust response is immediately reframed as a scandal.
