In a shocking video that resurfaced just days before Tennessee’s special election for the 7th Congressional District, Democrat candidate Aftyn Behn is seen attempting to force her way into Governor Bill Lee’s office before being physically removed by security while screaming and sobbing uncontrollably.

The 2019 footage, posted on X by Right Angle News Network, shows Behn in a blue jacket being grabbed by a uniformed officer, pulled away from the door, and eventually dragged along the floor as she continues to yell and struggle against the restraint.

At the time, Behn, then a 29-year-old far-left activist and co-founder of the progressive group Enough is Enough Tennessee, joined a multi-day sit-in protest outside Lee’s office in the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville.

The demonstrators, including Behn, were demanding that Lee take action against then-State Rep. David Byrd, who was accused of sexual misconduct involving minors during his time as a high school basketball coach in the 1980s.

When state troopers intervened to clear the area, they physically removed the protesters.

In the video, Behn collapses in tears, screaming, “Don’t touch me!” and continues to sob hysterically on the floor as a fellow activist tries to console her.

The group was cited for criminal trespassing but released that evening without further charges.

This incident is in line with her extreme anti-law enforcement views that include calls to burn down police stations and harassment of federal agents. It also exemplifies Behn’s pattern of disruptive, attention-seeking behavior that prioritizes radical activism over civility.

During the 2020 riots sparked by George Floyd’s death, Behn tweeted that burning down police stations was “justified,” a position she has stubbornly refused to disavow.

When pressed about the post on “MS Now,” Behn evaded the question, stating, “I’m not gonna engage in cable news talking points,” while accusing opponents of smear tactics.

Behn has championed abolishing and defunding police, including efforts to “dissolve” the Metro Nashville Police Department.

In a 2020 podcast, she branded President Donald Trump and his supporters as “racists, white-supremacists, and bigots,” claiming his presidency empowered bigotry.

The 7th Congressional District special election will take place on December 2. Early voting wraps up on November 26.
