A Circuit Court judge appointed a prosecutor to serve as the US Attorney in New Jersey.

Alina Habba was forced to step down as US Attorney for New Jersey after Senators stonewalled her appointment.

Chief District Judge in New Jersey Renee Bumb appointed Robert Frazer, a longtime prosecutor, to replace Alina Habba.

Alina Habba, who is now serving as an advisor to US Attorney General Pam Bondi, congratulated her colleague:

Congratulations to my colleague Rob Frazer at the Department of Justice in New Jersey who just became the next United States Attorney.

New Jersey deserves a great chief federal law enforcement official who is in line with President Trump’s agenda of making this country safe and NJ great! I know Rob well and he will be a great champion of this state and mission of the DOJ.

One thing should be clear- when judges work with Bondi and Todd Blanche under President Trump to collaborate on serving what an overwhelming majority of Americans asked for at the ballots and not attack mindlessly for political gain THINGS GET DONE

The appointment of Robert Frazer comes as drama exploded in the New Jersey US Attorney’s Office.

Earlier this month, a federal judge fired three new leaders in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey.

US District Judge Matthew Brann, an Obama appointee, said the current leadership in New Jersey’s US Attorney’s Office exceeds the Attorney General’s authority.

“One year into this administration, it is plain that President Trump and his top aides have chafed at the limits on their power set forth by law and the Constitution. To avoid these roadblocks, this administration frequently purports to have discovered enormous grants of executive power hidden in the vagaries and silences of the code,” Judge Brann wrote.

“I conclude that the current leadership structure for the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey exceeds the Attorney General’s statutory authority to appoint inferior officers and delegate them powers and therefore constitutes a unilateral appointment in violation of the Appointments Clause,” the judge wrote.

In a wild hearing last Monday evening, Judge Quraishi blasted US Attorney Daniel Rosenbaum and grilled him about Alina Habba.

“You have lost the confidence and the trust of this court,” Quraishi said, according to a transcript of the hearing as reported by Bloomberg News. “You have lost the confidence and the trust of the New Jersey legal community, and you are losing the trust and confidence of the public.”

The judge blasted Coyne, accused him of blindsiding the court, and then ejected him from the courtroom.
