The White House on Wednesday said Spain caved to President Trump after he threatened to ban all trade with the Spanish government.

Earlier this week, far-left Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said Spain is going to bar the US’s use of its military bases amid Operation Epic Fury.

President Trump responded by immediately announcing that the US is immediately going to ban all trade with Spain.

On Wednesday, Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the trade embargo on Spain.

“So because Spain is a member of the EU, does that at all put a wrinkle in the president’s plan for a trade embargo with them?” Jacqui Heinrich asked Karoline Leavitt.

Karoline Leavitt said Spain caved.

“It’s my understanding over the last several hours that they’ve agreed to cooperate with the US military!” Karoline Leavitt said. “And so I know that the US military coordinating with their counterparts.”

“Spain heard the president’s message loud and clear,” she said.

“She will be the White House spokesperson, but I am Spain’s Foreign Minister and I tell her that our position remains the same,” Albares said.
