WATCH LIVE: President Trump to Deliver Remarks on the Economy in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania – 6:10 PM ET

President Trump delivers remarks at 100-day celebration rally in Warren, Michigan

President Trump will deliver remarks in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, tonight on his economic achievements as his first year in office comes to a close, and the midterm elections take center stage.

Trump ran on a promise of affordability after four years of inflation. In some ways, the president has succeeded, but prices still remain high for everyday Americans.

Trump last month touted reports showing “across-the-board price declines for the holiday staples, with dinner rolls down 22%, frozen vegetables down 15%, and items like turkeys, stuffing, gravy mix, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pies all costing less.” Thanksgiving in 2025 was 25% less than in 2024 under Joe Biden.

The President further slammed the leftist media for blaming Trump for the affordability crisis caused by Biden, pointing to inflation, energy costs, and grocery costs going down, despite reaching historic highs under Biden.

The damage done by Biden hasn’t been nearly fixed, but we’re better off than we would be with inflation continuing at the rapid pace Biden had set.

Additionally, the White House issued a news release, touting the Trump administration’s reduction in gas prices on Monday.

The news release reads,

The nationwide average for regular gas is at its lowest level in 1,681 days — and trending lower. According to GasBuddy, average gas prices have dipped below $3 per gallon in 37 states, below $2.75 per gallon in 22 states, and below $2.50 per gallon in five states.

In fact, Americans can even find gas below $2 per gallon at some stations in at least four states — with prices as low as $1.69 per gallon in Colorado.

Under Biden, gas prices were the highest they had ever been, even after he drained our strategic reserves to artificially decrease prices. So far in President Trump’s second term, Americans on track to spend the lowest amount of their disposable income on gas in the last two decades amid the Trump Administration’s pursuit of American energy dominance.

It’s part of an emerging trend of strong economic news, backed up by data. In just the past week, Americans saw the national median rent fall for the fourth straight month, weekly jobless claims plummet to a three-year low, mortgage rates near their lowest level in a year, and consumer sentiment spike.

That’s all good news for American consumers — and much more progress is on the way. After four years of Biden’s reckless spending, open borders, and anti-energy policies that drove inflation through the roof and crushed working families, the momentum is now unmistakably in the right direction — and the Trump Administration will stop at nothing to make sure all Americans feel relief.

Trump will likely speak about his middle-class tax cuts, no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security policies, as well as his plans to give Americans tariff dividends.

The President is scheduled to deliver his remarks at 6:10 PM ET.
