HORROR: Two Florida Teenage Males in Custody for Brutal Killing of 14-Year-Old Girl – Victim Shot Multiple Times, Lit on Fire
Two teenage males in Florida were arrested for the brutal killing of a 14-year-old girl last weekend.
Sheriff Bob Johnson of Santa Rosa County explained to reporters last week that they identified the victim, Danika Troy. Her mom initially reported her as a runaway. They found her body on a walking trail in the woods.
Danika had been murdered the night before her mom filed the police report.
Two teen boys in Florida are accused of fatally shooting a 14-year-old girl and setting her on fire along a wooded walking trail last week in what authorities are calling a “horrific” killing.
Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson told reporters Thursday that the body has been identified as Danika Troy. He said Danika’s mother reported her as a runaway on Monday.
“Unbeknownst to the mother, Danika was murdered the previous night,” Johnson said.
“A passerby discovered Danika’s body along a wooded area off Kimberly Road in Pace, a town about 16 miles northeast of Pensacola, and called 911, Johnson said.” Fox News reported.
The police were able to identify the suspects in a timely manner. Gabriel Williams, 16, and Kimahri Blevins, 14. Police took both of them into custody.
Investigators said that Williams allegedly stole a gun that belonged to his mother and used it to kill Danika.
The details of the killing were absolutely horrific. After Danika was shot several times, her body was then set on fire.
The sheriff explained that at this time, they are trying to figure out the motive for the murder.
According to the sheriff, both of the boys may have known Danika from school. He also thought the two might have been in trouble with the law in the past.
Both of the teens are in custody at the Department of Juvenile Justice. They are looking at charges of first-degree murder, which involves premeditation.
Although the parents of the teens have not been charged with any crimes at this time, investigators are exploring all possibilities.
The sheriff is in contact with the State Attorney’s office to open up the possibility of charging both of the teens as adults.
