US Military Deployment in Latin America Isn’t Just About Venezuela, But to Push Out Russia, China and Iran Out of the Western Hemisphere (VIDEO)

The fight for the Western Hemisphere is on.
Two years and ten months ago, around 45 days before I came to write for TGP, I wrote an article in my personal blog called South American Turmoil, in which I warned that “the US better pay close attention to its proverbial ‘backyard’ before it’s too late.”
1,034 days ago, when the world seemed much bleaker than today, I wrote: “To say that the Biden’s administration from hell is implementing a foreign policy for Latin America that is an unmitigated disaster leaves absolutely no one surprised. ‘Roubinette’ is a train wreck in all aspects, and the foreign policy is a cornerstone of his demented agenda.
But not everything in the ‘cone Sur’ is the fault of the Biden crime family. There is also some systemic blame to be assigned for this state of affairs. Precious little attention has been paid in the last decades to the South American subcontinent, that became seemingly unimportant in the grand scheme of things post-9/11.”
It was, in a sense, a self-serving argument – since I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – to write that “I would like to see done is a 90-degrees turn that also seriously considers the importance of the WESTERN hemisphere.
[…] Basic survival wisdom suggests we should care a lot about our immediate neighborhood – that goes for people, and goes for countries, too.”

But now, with Donald J. Trump back in power, there’s no doubt that the US is out to reclaim Latin America as its main sphere of influence.
Latin Times reported:
“The U.S.’s operations in the Caribbean could be aimed at removing the Venezuelan regime from power, but also to get China and Russia out of the Western Hemisphere, according to a new report.
Fox News cited Rep. Eric Schmitt, who said it is “we ought to be that our interests are respected in our own hemisphere.” The outlet noted that recent developments, including designating the Cartel de los Soles, which the U.S. accuses authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro and other top officials of leading, as a terrorist organization, as well as leaks of CIA covert ops and potentially dropping leaflets highlighting the bounty on authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro, seem to be part of psychological operations against the regime.”

US officials to Fox: “About 30% of all deployed American warships are in the Caribbean” to push out Russia, China, and Iran from the Western Hemisphere.

“Elsewhere, NewsNation journalist Kellie Meyer said the U.S. Southern Command (Southcom) is restricting leave over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in preparation for potential land strikes in the coming days. She cited a source who noted that the possible land strikes could take place ‘in the next 10 days to two weeks’.
At the same time, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is set to visit the Caribbean on Monday. Citing two people familiar with the matter, the NYT added that the stated reason for the trip of Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is thanking troops ahead of Thanksgiving.”
