DEVELOPING: Just Hours Before Deadline, New Prosecutor Chosen to Replace Fani Willis in Georgia’s Lawfare RICO Case Against Trump

A new prosecutor has been chosen to replace Fani Willis in Georgia’s lawfare RICO case against President Trump.
Last month Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee gave prosecuting attorneys 14 days to assign a new prosecutor to Fani Willis’ lawfare RICO case or he will dismiss the case without prejudice.
On Friday, just hours before the deadline to appoint a new prosecutor, the Executive Director of Georgia’s Prosecuting Attorney’s Council entered an appearance as “District Attorney pro tempore.”
Per legal analyst Phil Holloway: Pete Skandalakis, Executive Director of Georgia’s Prosecuting Attorney’s Council has entered his appearance as “District Attorney pro tempore”
This comes hours before the deadline to appoint a new prosecutor or the case would be dismissed

This may be a move to buy more time, Phil Holloway said.
What does this mean?
It means the judge will NOT be dismissing the indictment for “want of prosecution”
It means Georgia’s PAC is taking over as the prosecuting entity – at least for now
It does NOT mean that PAC will continue to prosecute the case
This MAY be a move to buy…

In August 2023, Fani Willis indicted President Trump and 18 co-defendants for daring to challenge the 2020 election.
Willis hit President Trump and the co-defendants with RICO and other charges.
Nathan Wade was paid more than $600,000 as special prosecutor while he was wining and dining Fani Willis and paying for lavish vacations for them.
Last year, after a fierce court battle, Fani Willis and her entire office were disqualified from prosecuting Trump in their lawfare RICO case.
The appeals court did not throw out the charges; however, Fani Willis and her office have “no authority to proceed.”
The Georgia Appeals Court disqualified Fani Willis because of an appearance of impropriety.
Fani Willis had an illicit affair with Nathan Wade, the top prosecutor she hired to hunt down Trump in her RICO and conspiracy case against the former president.
In September it was reported that the Justice Department issued a grand jury subpoena for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ travel records.
According to The New York Times, the travel records relate to Fani Willis’s travel last Fall, leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
Details about the federal investigation are unclear. The Times said it is unclear if Fani Willis is the target of the DOJ’s investigation.
