WATCH LIVE: President Trump to Award Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom During Ceremony at the White House – 4 PM ET

President Trump will host a ceremony at the White House this afternoon to honor the life and legacy of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and award him with a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Kirk, a 31-year-old husband, father, and leader in the conservative movement, was murdered on September 10, 2025, while hosting a campus speaking tour event at Utah Valley University.

The horrific scene unfolded in front of thousands of college students at the university.

Kirk’s accused killer, 22-year-old gay trans-chaser Tyler Robinson, reportedly expressed that Kirk’s views on transgender identity were “hateful” towards his trans lover and roommate, Lance Twiggs.

Utah prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Robinson, who was charged with seven counts related to the shooting.

Today would be Charlie’s 32nd birthday, but he was taken from the world by the leftwing psychopath whose violence was prompted by the Democratic party and mainstream media.

But the movement he created did not stop. Instead, it grew even bigger. Turning Point USA received more than 32,000 requests to establish new chapters on campuses across the country within just two days of Charlie’s murder.

The Gateway Pundit published a memorial to the Great Charlie Kirk earlier, with more on his tragic death and continued influence on America.

To honor Kirk’s legacy, Trump is presenting him with the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States, at a large event with Charlie’s friends and family.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Friday that he’s coming back from his trip to the Middle East, where he plans to officially sign off on phase one of the 20-point peace plan between Israel and Hamas, on Tuesday “for Charlie Kirk.”

“We’re giving him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest honor you get outside of the Congressional Medal of Honor,” he said. “Erika, his beautiful wife, is going to be here, and a lot of people are going to be here.”
