WATCH LIVE: Kash Patel Testifies in Senate about Charlie Kirk Assassination

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee about the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination while he was speaking at Utah Valley University last Wednesday.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was assassinated by a leftwing terrorist, later identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, during a speaking event at Utah Valley University last Wednesday. The shooter was revealed by law enforcement to have engraved his ammunition casings with Antifa and transgender slogans.

After a 33-hour manhunt, Robinson was turned over to the authorities. It was later revealed that Robinson lived with his romantic partner, Lance Twiggs, a male who was transitioning to a female. Some in pro-trans online circles appeared to have advanced knowledge of the plot and later celebrated the horrific murder, The Gateway Pundit reported.

Patel faces scrutiny over his handling of the biggest and most high-profile case his FBI has taken on to date.

It can be recalled that hours after the shooting on Wednesday, Patel announced that “the subject for the horrific shooting today that took the life of Charlie Kirk is now in custody.” Meanwhile, local officials were saying that the shooter was still at large, sparking confusion across the country.

Patel retracted the claim about an hour later and after Utah officials said the shooter was at large. “The subject in custody has been released after an interrogation by law enforcement. Our investigation continues and we will continue to release information in interest of transparency,” Patel announced.
