Tren de Aragua Ringleader Behind Aurora Apartment Takeovers Arrested by ICE in New York City Raid
Heavily armed officers from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the NYPD Special Operations unit raided a Bronx apartment early Tuesday morning, capturing one of the most dangerous gang leaders in recent memory.
Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, the apprehended gang leader, was cornered by heavily armed Homeland Security Investigations officers in an Ogden Avenue apartment, according to the New York Post.
He faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, burglary, and menacing, rooted in a heinous incident caught on camera last August in Aurora.
New York Post reported:
Pacheco was allegedly among the heavily-armed suspects who were caught on surveillance video forcing their way into the apartment in Aurora, just outside Denver, last August.
It wasn’t immediately clear when he came to the Big Apple.
Neighbors at the Ogden Ave. building where Pacheco was busted recalled witnessing officers smashing the apartment door with a crowbar before hauling him away.
“When they brought him out he had shackles on his wrists to his feet,” said one woman who lives in the building.
“His face had a real angry expression. It was strange.”
Some neighbors confirmed they had seen Pacheco around, while others noted a woman and several children also lived in the raided apartment.
“They moved in September or October of this past year. They were very cooperative, very friendly,” said Emanuel Joseph, 64, who lives across the hallway.
In August, a shocking video released by Fox 31 Denver revealed the frightening reality of the situation: armed members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua have taken over yet another apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, terrorizing the local community.
Councilmember Danielle Jurinsky has been outspoken about the situation, declaring that gangs have taken over the complex.
“And I repeat… A GANG HAS TAKEN OVER several apartment complexes in Aurora!” Jurinsky wrote on X.
The fake news media attacked President Trump for bringing up the violent takeover of apartment buildings in Aurora, Colorado, by Tren de Aragua gang members.
According to fake news NBC News, “Roberta Braga, founder and executive director of the Digital Democracy Institute of the Americas, a nonprofit organization that studies the impact of misinformation on Latino communities, told NBC News that the false claims related to Tren de Aragua are just the latest examples of rumors created to feed a broader narrative meant to demonize immigrants.”
The news outlet added, “Residents at the Aurora apartments, many of them immigrants from Venezuela and other Latin American countries, have denied the false rumors of the gang takeover and said they increasingly feel unsafe after having unfairly been deemed criminals.”
