FBI Arrests Peter Navarro at DC-Area Airport One Day After He Vowed to Help Republicans Impeach Joe Biden
The FBI on Friday arrested Trump’s advisor Dr. Peter Navarro at a DC-area airport.
Navarro was on his way to Nashville when the Stasi took him into custody in a surprise ambush.
According to media reports, Navarro told the judge that he doesn’t need a lawyer because he wants to represent himself.
A federal grand jury has indicted former Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro for contempt of Congress after he refused to cooperate in the House January 6 committee’s investigation.
During a court appearance in Washington, DC, on Friday, Navarro said that he still wants to represent himself without a lawyer and accused prosecutors of using “hardball” tactics by arresting him at an airport and not allowing him to make a phone call.
Navarro said he was arrested at a DC-area airport Friday on his way to Nashville.
At Friday’s court appearance, Judge Zia Faruqui expressed concern about allowing Navarro to represent himself. “I think it’s important that you have counsel,” the judge told him.
Navarro said he was OK with the judge appointing counsel “for today” and that he sent prosecutors an email with an attorney contact as they work this out. Navarro, who has a Ph.D in economics, is not an attorney.
“The arraignment should be postponed for a number of reasons,” Navarro added, requesting that his civil lawsuit against the House January 6 committee go forward before any criminal proceedings.

Earlier this year the abusive January 6 panel voted to advance contempt charges against Trump’s aides Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro.
Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino didn’t provide any documents to the House panel and refused to show up for their depositions.
The full House of Representatives voted in April to refer Navarro to the Justice Department for not complying with the J-6 panel’s subpoena.
According to CNN, Navarro faces two contempt counts: one for his failure to produce documents demanded by the committee and the other for failing to show up for subpoenaed testimony before House investigators.
Navarro’s arrest comes just one day after he vowed to help Republicans impeach Joe Biden should they retake the House in the 2022 midterms.
The Gateway Pundit has reached out to Dr. Navarro’s representatives and will update the story should additional information become available.
